What a gem! Staying in nearby Marhamchurch we fancied fish and chips one evening so looked at the options available to us along with recommendations. The Mermaid had consistently good reviews so we opted to try them out and were not disappointed. Best fish and chips we’ve had in many years with fluffy chips and crispy battered fish so can only endorse the great comments from many other users on Tripadvisor. Just popped in now, whilst staying away. Knew it would be good as there were several people waiting. Didn’t disappoint! Chips taste great and jumbo sausages were decent!Staff were friendly and polite. Cash and card taken too.Don’t waste your time going to any other chippy in Bude!
