Place was empty but town was quiet so that didn’t ring any alarm bells. Ordered Chips and peas fir myself , 2 x Fish chips and peas and 1 chips and sausage.
I got my chips and peas first , this is the first time ive had unpeeled chips in a takeaway and that wouldn’t normally be a problem but the fact that the chips were pale and tasteless was , I dont think they had been fried but rather warmed up .

Had battered sausage and chips, light and crispy batter, tasty sausage. Chips were dry and cooked through nicely. Was ready within 10 mins or so. I Can't understand the negative feedback based on this.
5 stars for service, 1 star for the establishment. Bad impression from the offset when I saw a box of McCain's chips on the floor. There was no distinguishing a large cod from a small haddock, and I just know the fish was frozen. The batter was thin but not in an elegant way, like in a badly made way. Everything tasted of old oil even though they'd been closed on Monday and there were black bits in everything. Poor guy running the shop on his own was obviously having a rough time...read full review
