Booked a table for 2 humans for the Sunday roast, accompanied by 2 dogs. They were very welcoming and sat us in a comfortable corner, we were very happy with this as one of our dogs has a desire to say hello to everyone, being out of the way helped her, and us, to relax. There was a choice of 3 meats, turkey, pork or beef. My husband had the pork and I had the beef. Visited here for the first time to meet a friend for lunch. Very impressed with the efficient, friendly staff and lovely outside seating areas. The small portion Fish and Chips I ordered was superbly cooked. We will definitely return on the next occasion. I highly recommend it. The pub has lots of character and en-suite rooms. We had a lovely meal with our Granddaughter’s last Saturday early evening. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. There was a good choice of food on the menu and what we had was all delicious. The pub is warm and welcoming and we would definitely recommend it for its good food, choice of ales and the warmth and friendliness of the staff.
