Very quick, efficient, friendly service. And the meal, beef & venison pie with chive mash & fresh vegetables was superb as was the sausage, chive mash & red Cabbage. All served with delicious beef gravy ?. Excellent
We were here tonight for an outing and one of our party members got really drunk. A woman on the staff was so lovely and let us stay during close to wait for our friends and family to arrive. She is a star and a lovely woman. I never got her name but she was very accommodating and kind. I can't thank her enough, all the staff were lovely and still bought us a glass of water even after the bar had closed. I would definitely recommend coming here. We spent Friday and Saturday evenings here in very early January, drinking a decent selection of ale and gins full of fruit. Great bands both nights - especially the infectious Dew Barf who created a fabulous atmosphere in a large pub.Lovely, friendly staff (plenty of), a great mixture of ages and abilities (my dad dancing overshadowed by the guy in the wheelchair?) - highly recommended!
