Wondering around we stumbled on The Crown up a side street and on the corner of residential square, it is reminiscent of small bars you would find in the outskirts of European towns. A nice selection of beers on tap from the brewer and owners Cornish Crown. For purely research purpose we tried the three cask beers and all were excellent, served at a good temperature and perfectly poured. A delightful real ale and keg tap house, the beer was well kept and you can be amused just listening to the locals sharing their views on life. Dogs are welcome and there is a resident cat. It is off the High Street so takes a bit of finding but well worth

Good to be back in the Crown tonight. New beer for me on tap Helter IPA and a couple of nice pints of the Porter. Always my goto pub when I m in Penzance.
