Brought a lovely amethyst ring with diamond shoulder. The man on the mending apartment was brilliant. My fingers were badly swollen and I was ready to have the ring resized. He asked me to check how far the ring went on my finger and it went just over my knuckle so he advised me that once my fingers went down it would fit perfectly which I'm happy to say it does so thankyou so much. The lady who sold it to me was brilliant too. So glad I didn't have it resized as it fits me perfectly...read full review

Great for a short visit.Needed somewhere to take my children on a cold November while their dad visited his dad in hospital. We had a walk round the museum and the tin mine and also did some panning for gold! Didn’t find gold but all three managed to get some tin.We registered our entry and were given a £5 voucher for jewellery. The jewellery they had was lovely. Good Black Friday offers!

Interesting place. Has a display showing how mining was done many years ago. Also has a workshop that's good for repairs and advice. The only place I know where you can buy chains by the inch and it has a lovely restaurant. There is a free exhibition that shows how the tin streaming was and is still done and you can pan for gold too - all for free. Great place to spend a couple of hours.
