It is a nice cozy place, reasonable prices, nice helful staff and nice atmosphere.A good experience in general but I would like to point out some points to improve on.The prawns were one of the best we ever had, we even ordered a second, but it should be made as a main with bigger portion.Mussels mariniere were nice but lacked herbs and should be accompanied by bread to eat with the sauce.The seafood showder was the biggest disappointment. Just had a lunch , new year's eve ,fish and chips were excellent, fish pie better than home made , we go every NYE but were not aware of 1.5 hour meal time and I questioned how long service charge had been imposed , told only a few months. Disappointed no cream Brulee on menue , so in fact we did not have any sweets . Ate here on our 1st night in St Ives & it was so good we booked in for a last night too & we were not let down. The food on each visit was delicious, good sized portions & very well priced. The service on each occasion was also spot on. Staff are very attentive & very professional & friendly. We ate seafood on both visits, choosing from the Specials Board on 1st visit.
