What a wonderful secluded little place. 20th birthday couldn’t have been better spent. The staff were lovely, the food was great and the prices didn’t give my bank a heart attack. Although we didn’t tell them that it was a birthday retreat, a lovely staff member (not sure there name) left 2 bottles of wine in our room, this was such a lovely surprise, and be all means not necessary but the thought and care was so appreciated. The reason for our visit was to celebrate the 97th birthday of my father. We had requested a table beside the window to take in the wonderful view and we had an altogether delightful time. The food was very enjoyable and Mary and the staff were very helpful and considerate, bringing the birthday cake we had secretly brought with us, even serenading my father with "Happy Birthday...". We have just come back from a weekend at the port William in Trebarwith Strand and have had a lovely weekend . The Port William is a very welcoming pub with a roaring log burner in the bar . The staff are wonderfully accommodating with nothing too much trouble . Rooms are lovely . What really is fantastic is the setting ….. wow ! Will definitely be re visiting .
