Charlie's 14th Century Cottage, Fore St, Tintagel

Really great place in Tintagel to stop for a cuppa and something to eat. Lovely, welcoming and friendly staff. Lots of outdoor seating to the front on the pavement, most of it sheltered under large parasols. Lots of lovely choices on the menu for vegetarians and vegans. I had the Cornish brie salad and it was a very good portion and delicious. I had a cake after but can't remember the name, dohh! One with something red in.... cherries...?! What matters though is it was yum. Very good caff with great staff and yum food. Only one loo so queues form. Recommended and I would revisit.

Attentive, friendly service. Really nice to the children and welcoming. Great scones, plenty of cream and jam. Everything was really generous - extra hot water with the tea, etc. Perfectly executed.

The Cornish Bakery

We enjoyed the chorizo pasty and agreed that it is the best pasty we've had in the UK thus far (2024). The filling was flavorful and the crust was delicate, yet sturdy enough for easy handling. The two ladies working behind the counter were friendly, helpful, and efficient. It was the perfect treat before heading up to the castle ruins to see the statue of King Arthur.

This was not our first visit but the first time we stayed overnight. Lovely well equipped room finished to a very high standard. The high standard continues throughout the inn. Friendly helpful staff. Gorgeous food and great selection of drinks and amazing views.We will definitely stay here again ?

Such a lovely experience after exploring Tintagel castle. We sat outside and ordered from the hatch from a warm staff member. We had a delicious deluxe hot chocolate, slice of lime and passion fruit cake, a sausage roll and a very delicious curried vegetable pasty. A lovely spot to enjoy the views and food before the walk back.

We had dinner here while staying at the hotel. Food was delicious and good size servings. Grilled sea bass was amazing. Great wine list and the service was 5 star. Definitely recommended!

The Big Fish

Got there about 19:00 order fish cake, burger, chips and jumbo sausages. Was cooked fresh and all of us said how nice it was, chips were a good size and NOT oily like other have said. The staff were polite and friendly. Will be going back.
