Bar • “Have been to bar eS plenty of times and it never disappoints. I recently had my 30th birthday here and everything was brilliant! The staff were so accommodating for a group of 25 and the food was excellent as always. The party menu was more than enough food and the team were great at tailoring it to our group. Would highly recommend a visit here (you can take your pup too!) ?”

Bar • “Booked a table and glad we did as it was very busy and fully booked (7pm). Server forgot to let us know it was table service (the menu says to order at the bar) and no specials were mentioned until we checked but this was minor and to be fair it didn’t spoil our visit but do ask for the specials menu if you don’t get one. The food came quite quickly and was delicious. It was fresh (the side salad was so good!) and really tasty. We ordered the lamb and feta burger and the mushroom, tahini and spinach burger. Both were served in crusty rolls and the fries were skin on and salted. Even though the portions were big, hubby still had room for the sticky toffee pudding with ice-cream. It was sublime, super rich and dark and one of the best I’ve tasted (yes I got a spoon too!) The atmosphere is relaxed and at night, the fairy lights in the window make it look super cute. The menu itself isn’t extensive but what they serve is so good, we’ll definitely be returning.”
Bar • “We laughed, we cried, we gasped, we sighed and we cowered with fear from the tales of dismembered limbs and stories of revenge and screaming skulls. The Director was a brilliant, skillful story teller, and the hour and a half tour was just about right. Would highly recommend!”

Bar • “We visited this bar a couple of times during our stay in Grasmere. The bar staff were friendly and chatty, and we liked the ambience, but at the wine prices charged here, we would expect better wine glasses (they look like they have come from Poundland!)”
“We visited last weekend to entertain wedding guests.The management here are amazing, they go the extra meter to ensure everything is in place as the happy couple planned.Great working with them - just love good organisation.The function room would hold abou 80 guests. It has a low ceiling, and the atmosphere is good.Loading is via a patio, and a trolley is available - just ask.Parking is very good and well managed.My only gripe is the naff road on the west side of Windermere Lake, much prefer the A591.”
