“Booked in advance and requested a corner table due to slight hearing difficulties. Had a brilliant table in the corner upstairs which was fab. Service was brilliant and the food was equally as good. Beware the portions are big!

“Beautiful house in the heart of the lakes! Johnathan welcomed us and had impeccable service. He was friendly and attentive throughout. We enjoyed our evening in the bar and again Johnathan was extremely welcoming. It’s obvious he is dedicated to providing exceptional guest service. The breakfast was lovely so much attention to detail in every part. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The rooms were superb had everything you needed and were cleaned to a high standard. The whole hotel is beautifully finished and cared for. Thank you for a great weekend!”

“Staff are friendly, food is good and it has a good selection of ales. We popped in a couple of times for a pint in an evening and stayed for food.

They offer a blue light discount on food.”

“We came on a Sunday, there didn't seem to be any food but contrary to some reviews below, they definitely had soft drinks. As for the cats, 5 stars is obviously not enough. Super friendly and very willing to give customers the satisfaction of petting them. Also, it's nice to run into openly LGBT spaces out in the countryside.”

“I visited on a weekend with friends. It was a rainy day and the place was very crowded. Seats and tables were full. Outdoor tables are all not properly rain proof.

The food and drinks were good. Good service.”

The roast dinner was really great and a good portion of meat. The sticky toffee pudding is a really good one.

The only issue was the jug of custard is tiny for £1 and I wouldn’t bother getting it.”

“I stop by this place on a sunday travelling through windermere i google sunday lunches it popped up first and did not dissapoint very good value fantastic staff highly recommended, also if you can manage it just go for dessert they're way better than you could imagine.
Ill be travelling back here in the next few months when im back to the lakedistrict worth a stop, a chance passing im now a customer that will travel here. Keep up the good work ??❤️”
