We had meals at the White Lion Hotel two nights in a row on our honeymoon. The service was excellent despite both nights being very busy. The staff were really friendly and helpful - especially the Australian guy that served us on our second night. Nice little pub in the town centre of Ambleside. Has plenty of outdoor seating avalible and a wide range of alcohol beverages.Parking: Not much parking as it's in the centre of the town. But there is parking nearby if you lucky to find a spot.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Looked after very well by the landlord and landlady. Rob, Jess, Lizzy and John(borrowed from the Brown Cow in Leeds) all made us feel really welcome. Food was amazing
