Food was what I expected, pie was very good actually, service was great, good manager. Looking a bit run down in parts, the gents toilet was especially, bits of fittings hanging off. A shame.Walkability: Quite good for town centre, with a short walk
We were at an evening event at the football ground .. bar/restaurant attached and quiet, even though near main road into town.. (none of the P. Inns are in the town centre - half hour walk) but nice comfortable stay..

Accessible room - excellent.I do think that for what it was it was overpriced. I am a regular visitor to a hotel in the Midlands which has much more friendly and helpful staff for which I pay £28/night,or £14 if my friend shares.This hotel was in the perfect location for Carlisle Utd FC, who my team (Port Vale) were playing that New Year's Day.Room could also have been a bit warmer to aid my arthritic bones though...
