Stopped off for a beer whilst walking - two thirds of a pint of Deya. Excellent selection of craft beers. Got distracted by the home made sausage rolls so tried those too.....Really lovely cosy atmosphere, very friendly and efficient stsff. The fire was burning and there were a few cute doggie customers too. Would definitely come back if we're over this way again.

A fantastic place well worth a visit. A real Ale haven, perfectly served and fantastic choice. The food is incredible. Dogs welcome. The staff are knowledgeable and can't do enough to make your visit a memorable experience. By far the best beer garden in Cumbria.

Server - MichelleVisited Ambleside for the weekend for a Lake district holiday, and stayed at the Daffodil Hotel and Spa which recommended Tweedies to us. Came the first night after last dinner orders so sadly had to make other dinner plans.Heard such good things that we came again on our last night for some Dinner and was not disappointed!Did not realise we had to book a table so were worried we would be turned away again but was seated regardless by the wonderful accommodating staff. The energy of the staff was infectious, especially that of our server Michelle who laughed with us all night and gave the most excellent recommendations from the menu, she told us she has never been wrong and she didn't lie. The food was AMAZING!Hearty portion sizes and an atmosphere that made you never want to leave. The interior was cozy and made you feel like home and the staff made you feel like Family, can't wait to come back and dine here again!
Very good food with attentive staff. A party atmosphere with the live act and orpple dancing. Would recommend a visit. Be sure to book in advance.

Not sure why the negative reviews, perfectly good hotel. We stopped for a 2 night stay, it was a very comfortable stay with a good breakfast each morning. We also ate in the bar which was very nice and good quality. The staff were friendly and attentive. Grasmere is a delightful place to stay very pretty village. Please don't be put off by negative reviews.

Been to Tweedies bar/restaurant a few times now, location is ideal after a days hiking. Food is ok but overpriced for the quality of it. Small and busy inside so difficult to get a seat/table but plenty of benches outside. 1 or 2 members of the staff can be a bit grumpy as mentioned by previous reviews yet others seem fine.

Absolutely recommend this gastro pub if you pass the centre of Lake District. Great food, beautiful outdoor seating area, friendly services.
