A wonderful house that was welcoming the second you enter. Kate and Ann were so friendly and relaxed, they provide a house full of extras- books, games, a fridge for fresh milk, doggy extras including dressing gowns for pooch, choc on our pillow.The breakfast was amazing and was ordered night before and cooked freshly.I have nothing but compliments for Ann and Kate and the team behind this fantadtic house. 10/10 perfect! Beautiful house and spotlessly clean. A real home from home feel and Kate and her team were so welcoming and friendly. The small touches from the biscuits to Tara's treat box were so thoughtful. Nova our Cavapoo had a ball with an enclosed garden to run around and her own sausage for breakfast. Talking of breakfast, there was a lovely selection from full English, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs to bacon and pancakes. A selection of yoghurt and muesli and toast and homemade jam. You won't go hungry. Afternoons brought homemade cake which you could help yourself to. Our room (5) had stunning views, there was a little traffic noise but it didn't bother us. All in all a fabulous weekend away and we would highly recommend. Thank you for having us ?

We had an amazing stay at Maple Bank Country Guest House for 3 nights. The place was really lovely and well kept, and the rooms were very clean. The breakfast was really good with a wide variety of choice. Kate was a very good host and provided us with lots of helpful information during our stay. Would definitely visit again!

We had an excellent stay at the Maple Bank Guest House. In a time of ever rising prices I'm looking for value for money which I think Kate and her team at Maple Bank provide. Clean and comfortable rooms with plenty of towels, complimentary toiletries and excellent tea & coffee making facilities. Fresh milk and homemade cake are also available. There is a huge collection of maps, guide books and laminated walk instructions which we found really useful. Kate is also a great source of local knowledge. Breakfast needs to be ordered in advance but is freshly cooked and was excellent. We had our dog with us who was made very welcome with a goody box in the bedroom and his own sausage at breakfast time. There's a huge fully enclosed garden at the rear of the guest house which although very steep was excellent for early morning and late evening walks. Maple Bank is well located next to the A66 which makes access to Keswick and the Northern and Western Lakes very easy. There are a number of pubs in the village offering a good choice for evening meals.
