Family run pub which has got it just right? Overall excellent food, excellent service and excellent drinks. Six of us ate here on 2 separate occasions all having different meals and every meal spot on. Large portions and excellent value for money. Well done The Farmers Keep up the good work we will definitely be back. Locals also very friendly.

Stayed in portinscale for two nights and called into the Farmers Arms after a night in Keswick for a nightcap. Friendly barman and good atmosphere so we decided to book a meal in the restaurant for the next night. We had no problem booking a table even though it was busy. We certainly weren't disappointed the food was good, the restaurant was cosy, the barman was pleasant and we enjoyed our night. Special mention has to go to the delicious rhubarb and apple crumble which was amazing....read full review

Brilliant wee pub/ restaurant, walking distance from our hotel , great food , even as a veggie, I had Bean burger which usually fills me with dread ? This one was really tasty ( moist tho I hate that word) the chips are fantastic and the onion rings are crisp but soft ( amazing) The guy behind the bar serviced 24 covers whilst also taking orders at the bar , remained calm and friendly. Really enjoyed it here and would recommend ❤️
