“Whilst on holiday, the Butchers Arms was recommended by the owners of our cottage. Our meals tasted superb! Made with the finest ingredients and big portions. The Chicken Liver Pate was the best I have ever tasted and was presented beautifully! The little unique details such as pickled onion rings with the steak added to the overall taste. The rural, friendly and welcoming atmosphere added to our meal. It's such a shame we are only visiting! The locals are very lucky having this on their doorstep. Compliments to the chef and all the other staff. X”

We enjoyed a family gathering here with 14 of us and the food was simply delicious, the service was very friendly and responsive and the atmosphere just right. “Had a really excellent Sunday lunch here - significantly better than pretty much any other pub Sunday lunch I can remember having. Big old portions of everything, excellent beef, vegetables cooked exactly right (or to our taste anyway). The Yorkshire puddings were beautiful, very clearly properly done, and big. Just everything you could ask. Lovely staff. It's in a beautiful village. But it's the food that was really noteworthy - nothing fancy, but done very, very well.”
