Lovely friendly and cosy pub with great food. A very nice stop off on the way across to Northumberland from Preston. Good facilities too, can’t comment on the rooms as we stopped for food only.
Lovely roadside inn with gluten free beer on tap and really helpful staff. We turned up on spec and although they were fully booked for later, they managed to squeeze us in.My coeliac husband was delighted to find that they had gluten free ales on a hand-pump and the food portions were very generous with well-cooked, fresh vegetables. My daughter's only complaint was that her 'small plate' was too big for her to manage!I would recommend booking ahead and going with the small plates...read full review
Had a lovely roast dinner here. Large portions and very cheap. Only draw back was the roast potatoes. They were not cut into halfs or quarters, just full potatoes left to roast. Middle was very bland and dry. Shame as the rest of the meal was amazing
