We have visited Lake Windermere four times but this was the first time we actually made it to Windermere. Francine’s is a little jewel. It is a simple yet beautiful restaurant, we were welcomed by Francine herself who was friendly and attentive. The food, well, it was quite simply FANTASTIC!! My husband I both had scallops to start which were presented beautifully and cooked perfectly. I ate dinner here last night with my Mum. She had the foreleg of lamb and I had the seafood casserole. The food was excellent. The lamb fell of the bone and was so tender, my seafood was lovely in a delicious sauce. Great dessert and coffee too. Service was excellent, would highly recommend.

First time we have been to Francine's and booked on the strength of reviews. It was an excellent experience from start to finish. The atmosphere, food, and service were all top quality, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Francine's and will definitely book there when we visit Windermere again.
