I went for lunch with a friend in early April. Only just round to writing a review. But I wanted to say we were very pleased with the quality of the food and value for money. It was quiet in there and the service we received from the bar maid was warm and friendly. The homemade macaroni cheese was absolutely delicious. Just how my mother used to make it!
We had a few pints early doors and sat outside, we then noticed they did curry and a pint for £8.99 with chips or rice, so we thought we'd try it and it was very nice and not out of a packet as we expected for the price would recommend?

Not from Mickleover, but often visit to see close family. Really like this place – the ales are spot on, the food good and reasonably-priced, the lad behind the bar was polite and attentive and when outside in the (nicely-kept and tidy!) garden, we felt really welcome by staff and a few locals. Far more than an ‘estate pub’ and well worthy of a visit!
