Restaurants in Kirk Ireton
The Miners Arms, Brassington
Miners Hill, Brassington, MatlockPre ordered our food as there was 8 of us for an evening meal. Only 3 were able to manage a pudding as the main coarse portions were large, goody. The staff were very helpful. Would highly recommend.

The Barley Mow Inn
Main St, Kirk Ireton, AshbourneDidnt try food. Bar from 1950/60s era but well stocked with wines (viognier) and ciders as well as beer straight from the barrel ( in a jug). On a hot sunny day the interior is a bit dark and outside seating limited. But when the bartender goes to the piano ... WOW!

Ye Olde Gate Inn
1874 Well St, Brassington, MatlockWe went for a late lunch at the end of a hike and were so impressed, the staff were lovely and welcoming and the food was delicious. Nearly all the menu is gluten free or has gluten free alternatives which was amazing. They also catered for dairy free. We will definitely be going back. The new owners are doing a good job with this lovely old pub.
Dietary restrictions: Excellent gluten free and dairy free options.

The Tiger Inn
Tiger Inn, 232 Ashbourne Rd, Turnditch, BelperA pleasant country pub in pretty rural surroundings. I visited with a friend ona busy Friday evening.
The staff were friendly, polite, professional and managed that difficult balance of attentiveness and unobtrusiveness perfectly.
Both the selection of food available and it’s quality was very good, I will have to go back to try more of the menu soon.
There was a wait between ordering and service but that is expected in the context of properly cooked food and I would not want it to change.

Watermark
Unnamed Road, AshbourneI love the Watermark café and gift shop, we visit pretty much every time. The selection of cakes, pasties and drinks is lovely, with sandwiches etc in the fridge and a lovely vegan sausage roll.
We also love the Mainsail Restaurant, which some visitors might not realise is upstairs, if they want a non-takeaway experience with panoramic views.
