My wife and I had a meal on Saturday afternoon. We were visiting Matlock after exploring Bakewell and Matlock. The location is good being in the Hall Leys Park. The service was good. Although there was only one toilet (it's clean and nice) which led to queues. The service was quick. My wife had the soup of the day which was cauliflower soup with a roll. Beautiful cafe with great service. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. Ordered the breakfast and steak and ale pie, and was great food! The breakfast was genuinely the best I’d ever tasted. Very high quality meats and perfectly cooked. Also recommend the cornflake tart and Christmas cake. 10/10. Thanks Tracey!

Lovely cafe, not pretentious but not down-market either. Service is always excellent and there's a great selection of cakes and treats as well as breakfast and lunch. Staff are always super friendly and there's a nice atmosphere.
