Had the fish chips and peas special and at £7.50 not cheap chips we're good peas nice but the small fish was like a fish finger it's was tiny got halfway thru the fish and had to leave the rest as it didn't seemed to be fully cooked as it was hard and not white and flakey lie you'd expect from fish. So won't be in a rush to return on my next visit to matlock.
I popped into this fish and chip ship while passing through Matlock and do not regret it. They had amazing portions with good prices and the food was hot and yummy and the batter on the fish was crispy and delicious. The chips were also very fulfilling. I also got mushy peas which were amazing. This was way better than any other fish and chip shop I've been to. Exceptional good value. Small fish chips and peas only £7.70 to eat in! Portion was a good size for the average appetite. Formica tables. No frills but very good value for money. They also do gluten free. I would recommend.
