The Cowshed
No Man's Ln, Dale Abbey, IlkestonA quality destination. Lovely ambience and standards are even better than 7 years ago. (My first post) If you have friends visiting.... this is your No1 place to visit...and I have no connections with the Cowshed.! We are cyclists and this is a great stop off on the cross-country route via Hopton Hall to Draycott and beyond.(Swarkstone and The Cloud Trail. ....Visit The Bull at Wilson if you go on The Cloud Trail)

James' Coffee Shop
Near Meadow Farm/Breaston La, DerbyWent today with 2 small people, reserved a table yesterday in the family room. The children loved chalking on the boards while waiting for their lunches, not a long wait at all, we had a large order, the children having a jacket potato, macaroni and home made chips, and me having a toasted scone and salad and dad a panini, posh coffee, hot chocolate and milkshakes and all for around £10 each including ginger breads. Fresh food, clean and nice staff. We then went around the farm to see the animals and saw 3 lambs brought into the world. What a lovely day.
