49 The Wharf, Shardlow, DerbyWe were passing through shardlow yesterday and nipped in here. We tried another Marston’s up the road but was told there would be a hour wait on food there. So we drove to the Malt shovel where there was a great selection of dishes on the menu. I had the beef lasagna with garlic bread and my partner had the fish and chips. All arrived within 15 minutes to our surprise. The portions were huge amazing value for money. The staff were extremely attentive even on such a busy day for them.
Also a great selection of beer on tap as well as spirits and bottled cider.
Will definitely be returning

The New Inn
The New Inn, 61 The Wharf, Shardlow, DerbyWe called in here for a lunch, the menu on offer was plentiful and varied. We had the 'lite bites' lasagne which was yummy. Homemade, perfect temperature and great flavour. This came with very nice crispy chips and a little salad. I wouldn't hesitate to go again.

The Boathouse Shardlow
Shardlow Marina, London Rd, Shardlow, DerbyHad the most incredible roast dinner at The Boathouse in Shardlow. Such a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and a lovely buzz around the place. Even while queuing at the bar, everyone was chatting and enjoying themselves. The staff were clearly working so hard but stayed so positive and happy. You can absolutely see why it’s such a popular spot in Shardlow, we’ll definitely be back.
