Good beer and a building that simply couldn't be anything other than a pub. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options.

Charming little pub, classic have pump ales and super friendly staff. Live music was great too. It's a small pub, but it's a wonderful step back in time and I really recommend you try it.

Beers were very good and the hosts were great. My friend had a vegan beer and then a pot of herbal tea, served on tray in a teapot. She loved it. I stuck to the ale. Must have a meal next time.Saturday they had an excellent singer/guitarist called Winston.

This is hands down, the best pub! It's in a little, very old village at the top of steep hill. As soon as we walked in the door we said yes!, fnally a genuine old style pub, the fire was on, and an added bonus they have so many Vegan options!! Staff were amazing. Thank you Richard and Sophie for welcoming two random travellers like us, into you place, you made us feel like we were having a meal in your home xVegetarian options: So many vegan options!!!

What a fabulous, cosy, dog welcoming pub. Loads of vegan options. Great to see a mainly plant based menu. Looking after the planet and animals as well as the customers. We'll be back!

What a lovely little gem of a gastropub. I visited some friends in Stanton in Peak with my little boy today and we met here. What a great pub. Friendly service, lovely food and really good beer. The place has a really nice cosy atmosphere and we very much enjoyed our visit. I had the 'Cornish' style pasty with lashings of gravy, made just down the road, and my little fella had a mega fish finger sandwich. I also noticed plenty of veggie and meat substitution dishes which would suit many. Thanks once again for your hospitality, hope we can come again some time.

A very typical Yorkshire pub with an intimate part but which was already full. The other room, just as superb and just a little larger, was able to accommodate us.A Guiness type beer really quenched my thirst. We took a small snack.

What was always a proper little gem of a pub has had something extra added!

A delightful pub, who catered for a walking party of 20+ people with great speed, excellent food and wonderfully polite staff. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Super cute pub with LOADS of vegan options. So nice to see a pub with a majority vegan menu. The pub itself is pretty dinky which adds to its character. There is a small car park which is good. The food was simple home cooked food. We both got pasty’s but the burgers looked great too. The staff were also very nice!Vegetarian options: So many options it was refreshing!

Genuinely the nicest pub we've had the pleasure of visiting in the Peaks. Incredibly welcoming hosts even though it was past closing after lunch and great selection of beers and snacks. We'll be back for sure!
