“I attended the Fire school at High Grange recently and it was so much better than initially expected. From the moment you arrive, you're welcomed into a friendly environment. Starting with a superb breakfast cooked for you while you are brief on the day.
I have spent time cooking on a charcoal BBQ, but the day opened my eyes to so much more around cooking with fire. From pit fire cooking, to Komados, to Argentinian BBQ and planchers. It was such a great experience and am already looking to book onto one of their dining evenings.

“We received a very friendly welcome when we arrived for lunch. The landlord even opened up one of his outbuildings for us to park our bikes safely. They specialise in guest ales and home cooked food - and neither disappointed. We’ll be back!”

“Went to the hunters Lodge for our anniversary and it did not dissapoint. The staff were friendly, and very helpful. I had chilli prawns that were cooked perfect, my husband had mushrooms which he said were tasty. Then I had the seabass which I must say was cooked perfectly, my husband had steak with port an wine sauce which he said was outstanding. The meals were hot, the veg was hot and all stay hot till the last bite. Well done Hunters lodge if I could have given you 10 stars ? I would have. Thankyou”
