Stopped this afternoon as an afterthought as we were running late to catch the steak strain from Buckfastleigh. Absolutely delighted that we did, warm welcome from the young chap behind the bar who kindly found a high chair for my son, and a delightful waitress who gave my son a child’s menu, and kept him entertained while we waited for food (not a long wait). Food was delicious and service was prompt and friendly. We didn’t stay at the Hotel however shared two dinners at the restaurant, one for a birthday. The service was fantastic.Food & drinks: Fish and chips were delicious and large portions for a great price! Very kid friendly
As the grandmother of 'the brat' mentioned in the previous review I feel it necessary to leave a review to defend the staff and business.If you haven't already read it, please do!Yes, my grandson jumped out of the car and ran into the pub, yes his mother is a member of staff, no he was not running around the bar and at no point was he left unattended.
