Edit: 2023. I gave 4 stars four years ago and have recently moved back to the area. I'm basing the new 5 stars on the people who staff the pub (all friendly, happy and polite), the selection of beer (although not on tap the Old Peculiar was fantastic!) and also the food. I recently took my boy there where he had fish and chips, and said it was great but I, on the other hand, decided on liver and bacon and felt it was the best I'd eaten! We both enjoyed a great time and service was great hard working people also wonderful food best pub in Devon, thank all the staff made our night out fantastic and we’re coming back soon.

We called in here on the way back to our cottage after doing the river walk with our dog opposite the pub for some thing to eat. They were only serving a roast pork or beef lunch so we ordered 3 beef lunches , being GF I could eat it all apart from the Yorkshire Pudding which I gave to my husband . All meals were lovely , Barman was very chatty . Would recommend if you are visiting Colyford or stopping on the Seaton tram stop as its just next door!
