wonderful pint of tribute, beautifully kept, menu looks ok, will go back to eat at some stage. friendly locals and staff ,I was on my own but made to feel welcome. would reccomend anytime.update....still as good as ever...
Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express City Centre and this pub was a 5 minute walk away. Good choice of home cooked meals on the menu and good prices. The steak and Stilton pie was one of the best pies I've had. Others had the steak and lasagne and all enjoyed them. Good portion sizes too. Would recommend a lovely meal here

First time in this local pub for many years. Excellent home cooked Sunday roast quality at a good price, fresh veg and home made gravy, what's not to like. Friendly atmosphere all at a reasonable price.
