The lovely small village of Cockwood boasts two great pubs. Unfortunately due to structural damage the Ship Inn at Cockwood is closed and is currently under repair. Yesterday I visited the Anchor Inn for the first time with my wife. It was a lovely afternoon and we were able to sit outside. The Anchor has a reputation for providing customers with top class seafood. Classic country pub which preserves its historic building. Its location overlooks a small inlet, and the outdoor seating often extends informally to the wall the other side of the narrow road.The range of drinks and the attentiveness of the service are good, but what really stands out here is the quality of the food. Absolutely stunning food. Had an extremely pleasant meal here yesterday, the seafood platter for two was among the best seafood I have ever had served to me.Highly recommend visiting and will be back specifically to eat here again.Thank you
