Bar • “Located a little out of tiny Widecombe on the Moor , Rugglestone Inn was a classic English country pub with good food and service and loads of atmosphere. It was also very popular and busy.”
Bar • “We went for a family meal, the staff were extremely helpful. Some members of our party have mobility issues and they suggested an ideal table to sit at and an easier way to enter the Inn. We all, thoroughly enjoyed our meals and they were very helpful as I am gluten intolerant, lots of options and advice. We all felt that we would like to go back again, when we next all meet up.Food & drinks: Food and drinks all excellent and good choice.Noteworthy details: Beautiful old building and the staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. We only went for a lunch time meal but hope to go back again.”

Bar • “Visited on Saturday 4th November - a party of four. The staff were very friendly and we were quite impressed with the uniform of white shirts and rather snazzy braces!! The food was delicious - we were all pleased with our choices. The manager, Paul Webber was an excellent host checking several times if there was anything we needed. He was pleasant and had a good sense of humour. We will definitely be returning and would recommend The Claycutters Arms to anyone. Thank you for looking after us Paul...”

Bar • “Brilliant pub just outside the station, 5 ales are served, a deposit scheme is in place,your plastic glass will cost an extra £2 when returned to the bar.”
Bar • “I ordered the steak and melbec pie, with tender stem broccoli and mash. It was delightful. I think for a Monday that the staff were a little under pressure as there were a number of customers, maybe 30 plus and probably not quite enough serving. The food was very good though and would recommend, the scenery is lovely, perched on the river.Parking: Plenty of it.”
