Richard and Yvonne really know how to make you feel welcome. Great sized portions of tasty, hearty and well cooked food and, well kept ales.For us, this turend out to be the perfect destination after a good trek accross the moor.
We came here for a family Sunday lunch and were not disappointed. It is a lovely cosy characterful pub which felt very welcoming as soon as we arrived. One of our party had whitebait as a starter which is a favourite of theirs wherever they go, and said it was the best whitebait they had ever eaten. Great pub, clean and tidy and cosy, friendly staff, owners and customers. Good range of drinks and food with locally sourced produce. Dog friendly. Reasonable prices. Can't ask for more.
