Pubs in Sidmouth

“Thank you for a great meal - we would highly recommend. Service was prompt and friendly, the staff were very polite and welcoming and the food was delicious and arrived very fast. We had two meals off the specials board - braised steak and sweet potato curry - both were very tasty and cooked / presented well. We will certainly return when back in the area. Thanks again.”

“We popped in here for a Sunday roast with the family and were pleased with the quality of the meal and the value. There were three different meats on offer for the roast and everything was well cooked, including the vegetables, which places often manage to turn into mush. In terms of room for improvement, the tables were incredibly small so you were bumping elbows with the person next to you. I understand it is a big expense to change tables, but perhaps when they refurbish in the future they could get bigger tables, they have plenty of room for it. Service was a little bit slow, but it was a busy summer day and so that is understood.Kid-friendliness: There is an outside play area for the kids.Parking: Easy parking right next to the pub.”

“Popped in here twice in the last week. Once just for a drink, once to eat. On both occasions the staff were really friendly and helpful. The real ale was excellent and the food was freshly prepared and very tasty. The whitebait was particularly good.”

“We found the Swan Inn very welcoming with our little dog. Great Guinness and lunchtime hot meals. Fabulous brie and cranberry jacket spud. A cosy place to visit.”

“This pub has become the great local pub it deserves to be. With a new landlord and landlady installed, it is now the best (and possibly the cheapest pub) in the Sid Valley. Live music has also made a welcome return to the pub with bands on every 2 months or so. The first event was packed. So good to see this friendly, welcoming pub back on its thriving again. Come down and support it.”

“Extremely friendly team, met with smiles and nothing was too much to ask. We emailed ahead as our daughter finds eating out tricky so requested simple pasta and cheese. I had a response straight away and it was no problem. They even made a note of this request ahead of when we arrived. It made our daughter feel much more comfortable. The food was delicious and the choices on the carvery were great. My husband was very pleased with the portion size of meat he was given. Lovely pub and we will definitely keep coming back. Thank you.”
