Nice little cafe beside the market. Fairly basic menu but lovely cakes etc, & generous sized coffees. Lovely in the summer if you sit outside, and cosy inside in the winter. Major, major drawback though, is that there are no toilet facilities. There are public toilets close by in the market (open until 4pm), but both times I've been to Dukes recently they've been out of commission (for cleaning or just closed). Friendly welcome at busy cafe between the main road and the market. The food was freshly cooked, hot and appetising, with portions of a good size. There's a varied choice on the menu and the main courses are complemented by a range of desserts and cakes. There is seating inside and outside.

Stopped here a few times when visiting Tavistock, but we ate today we had the Christmas panini, and must say how disappointed we was, for the price, the salad was a token gesture, the filling was mainly stuffing, not much turkey, the waitress was very friendly and
