Simple food, beautiful ingredients and cooked to perfection. I had the steak and ale pie which was delicious but the winner had to be the steak and Devon which my wife had. I only managed to get a small piece as she couldn’t finish it. One of the group isn’t a great lover of pastry and opted for the fish pie. She said it was the best she’s ever eaten. Popped in for a coffee and cake, had a coffee and walnut muffin and a latte and both were superb. I wish I had time to stay and have a pie as they looked so nice. The waiter was charming and helpful and the service was top notch and the price was very reasonable compared. Ordered a cheeky carrot cake to take out and that was gorgeous as well!
