Had a Sunday lunch here and when we walked in within a few seconds we had two members of staff tell us they’d be with us in a minute. First impression carried on for the entire visit. The roast beef was so tender and the veg cooked to perfection. My partner had steak, mushroom and ale pie and was so impressed by the heat and the taste was amazing. Two apologies in 45 seconds for ‘keeping you waiting’ set the tone. Lovely staff, a decent pint of ale and a fantastic (and HOT!) meal - I had the pie my better half roast beef. We’re only in Totnes for 5 days but will be going back. Thanks especially to Lisa who served us, but everyone was friendly.

We booked for a family Christmas Lunch. Due to bus break down I was an hour late with my family already there. Lisa was excellent holding our meals til I arrived. Wonderful meal and atmosphere Highly recommended
