“Just a great pub. Whether you like real ales and good, craft keg or wine you’ll find something you like here at a good price. Nice atmosphere. Can get busy, for good reason.”

“An absolutely gorgeous little pub with the most amazing and lovely staff. The landlords were our absolute saviours and couldn’t have done more to help when we landed ourselves in a slight predicament. Would absolutely recommend to anyone and will be making a special trip back there. 5⭐️”

“I've been a regular user of this fine establishment since the Day it opened and the Beers were always brilliantly chosen and superbly kept, it changed hands a couple of years ago and many regulars were concerned it would go down hill, Personally I wasn't too impressed for the first few months of the new ownership, however things seem to be back to business as usual, thank goodness, 6 Cask Ales, 4 Kegs One of which is Bristol Beer Factories excellent 0.05% Clear Head, + Ciders, A Decent Wine Selection and a Fridge stocked with some great Cans, One little thing I like is they charge less for takeaway Cans than drink in!
Oh and don't expect food cos its a Bar, if you want food go to a Restaurant ?”

“On a recent motorcycle trip to Morocco, our ferry from Plymouth was diverted to Portsmouth because of bad weather so we had to ride in heavy rain to Portsmouth. On route we rode through Bridport feeling cold and wet and the Lord Nelson looked very inviting. The welcome we received was fantastic and after cups of tea and servings of lovely pizzas we were on our way. Just want to say a big thank you to everyone at the Lord Nelson.”

“The B&B rooms were clean and spacious. The location is away from the crowds but the sea is easily accessible. The area is perfect for walking / cycling.
All the meals we had were superb the breakfast was fantastic as were the evening meals! The menu was good, something for everyone and the food was all locally sourced and you could tell it was all homemade! Definitely worth a visit.”

“Lovely Sunday lunch.
Was unable to sample food in weekday nights because we hadn't booked ahead.
Bar space crowded, locals friendly, staff friendly and helpful.
Good selection of beers and ciders including low alcohol options.”
