Difficult to review. My most recent experience was poor. Fishcakes getting less and less fishy and more and more potatoey. At £2.50 each, they should be very good. Chips are generally not bad tasting, but look tired. On other occasions, I have had excellent cod from here. If disappointed, it us pointless to ring.... your meal experience has been and gone, been pleasant or unpleasant. You cannot then relive it. On the whole, The Priory Fryer is better. Lovely friendly people. Damn good foodParking: If you are lucky you can park right outside the shop where there are half a dozen roadside bays. If not then it's a nearby side road.

Have been coming to Captain Cod for years went again this week and received the usual amazing food and service, friendly staff and the owner Vicky is always so nice!. I am Gluten intolerant and there is much choice there, better than any other chippie, it’s great to not struggle to find something to eat!.
