The food, to be fair, was delicious. It was late with small portions but I'd love to give the chef 5 stars for the cooking. We arrived at 1pm and didn't start eating until 2pm. We were given wrong menu at first then the Christmas set menu which we had prepaid, only to be told 10 minutes later that the kitchen didn't have most of the options so we had to eat off the standard lunch menu. My wife and I got married at The Kings back in April (2023) and just had the most perfect weekend.It's a gorgeous, chic hotel in such a wonderful little spot by the river overlooking the green, and all of our guests loved their rooms. The food and drinks (although a bit pricey) were top notch, but best of all was the staff who were just so effortlessly lovely at every stage, right from when we first viewed it a good 18 months before the big day.
