We were all very hungry & tired after driving back late from the airport in torrential rain. Everywhere closing, so we nipped into 'Spoons for drinks & a meal. Welcoming pub with relaxing atmosphere & decent, homely food. Staff great & swift service ?
Their Beyond Meat burger is great, the cheesy garlic bread is almost a meal in itself, definitely enough for two. Always busy, but for a relatively inexpensive quick bite in town it is perfect. Regularly visit as I am vegetarian and daughter isn't.Parking: no parking at The Royal Oak, limited on street parking, however, high street pub, loads of parking lots nearby, most are free after 6pm

Visited at breakfast time and in the evening and had food at both times. Food and drink are very good quality and value. Food was served quickly after ordering as were the drinks.Slight warning if you are having a curry from the curry club the naga chilli vindaloo is very hot and although I enjoy spicy food it was too hot for me and I had trouble finishing it.If you are in the area give this pub a try you won't regret it.
