We always like to try out a new pub for a Sunday Roast and came across this little gem. Based on their menu and google ratings, we decided to book.We had their new Sunday roast sharing board (there was 3 of us) and it was amazing. The amount of meat on it is well worth the money. Amazing stay in Birdie Shepherd Hut on grounds of Gaggle of Geese pub. Comfy clean furnishings. Hot, high pressure shower. Plenty of heat pumped out from bathroom radiator and log burner warmed up the hut in no time at all. Well insulated hut which stayed warm all night - much needed in rainy October! Welcome pack of Prosecco, bread, butter, local honey & delicious homemade biscuits was very well received. Very thoughtful touches throughout. Simon and Sarah are brilliant hosts, they have created an outstanding atmosphere in the pub, the staff make a lovely team. Great beer and cider, fair prices, generous portions. It's warm and comfortable.
