I visited Lakeside Fish & Chips on 18 December 2023 in the early evening, a weekday during term time. I was with three other people. This was my first visit. Very clean restaurant, good service, nice views. The whitebait was lovely, the calamari was very good. All enjoyed our mains. Service was very good and the parking was good. A firm favourite in our family and I'm sure will be for a long time.

Still my go to place in Poole for Fish and Chips. The food was fresh and delicious as always. My only grumble is the size and cost of the sides. £2.25 for around two tablespoons of beans or mushy peas, served in an oversized thimble, is a little excessive, even during these times where costs have understandably increased. Otherwise, a lovely lunchtime meal.
