Keep fit group. Time to relax and get to know our colleague’s. Christmas menu, had to wait for 50 minutes before the starters were served. No explanation offered. A further 30-40 minutes for the main meal. Food was excellent, served hot with plenty of choices of fresh vegetables and crispy roasted potatoes. Good atmosphere in the pub and nicely decorated. Fantastic service, nice warm environment great communication with staff, very accommodating to allergies, such an easy care free christmas meal where kids where accommodated to. Great Christmas music Lovely environment Will definitely will return
We were on the island and looking for somewhere to have lunch, many places were either closed or not doing food, we had seen the Eight Kings and were recommended it by another pub ( not doing food) . We called in and went in the the “public bar” , it was a Wednesday lunch time , we enquired about lunch and told it was mid week roast day,, either pork, chicken or gammon,, we both went for gammon , with a pint of Doom Bar and a large Chardonnay.
