Lovely spot on the harbour and great that dogs are welcome. I ordered two glasses of wine and a packet of crisps. One regular and one large. I was charged £18.05 for this. Thought this was pretty overpriced. I was then poured two medium glasses and I questioned which one was large. The barman then said "oh did you want a large?, oh wait yeh I charged you for a large didn't I?" With that instead of pouring a large glass again he topped one glass with a bit more wine. We dined at the ship inn for my birthday its best to book a table as it gets very busy. I was given a free prosecco since it was my birthday. The food orders were given in at the bar and we didnt wait long for our starters which were large portions. I enjoyed the prawn cocktail, my daughter had whitebait and hubby had a large dish of chicken strips. All lovely.Two of us had Chilli con carne which was very nice, one had the pie which he enjoyed. Booked a table for 10 on boxing day. Communication was really great - pre-booking the meals and dealing with my request to bring along a birthday cake. We had a table overlooking the harbour, which kept the children entertained watching the boats.The food was great and brought out to us promptly. Service was fantastic - I didn't get the name of the person serving us, but they were really helpful and polite. Couldn't have asked for more
