The Ketton Ox
100 High St, YarmMe and my husband popped in the Ketton Ox last week. Service was excellent and the staff were friendly. We had some amazing pub food which came with a good atmosphere. This was not a planned trip bit would definitely call in again.

104B High St, YarmI had a look at all the bad reviews to get an idea of what the place might be like at its worst, only to see someone deciding that white pepper on swede was an unidentifiable spice unsuitable for sunday roast. I decided to try the place anyway since I'm not a NIMBY like that person.Food was phenomenal, staff were excellent, greeted when we walked in and tried hardest to find a table with no booking, had to wait half an hour but went down the road to the pub in the meantime. When we came back food was delivered in the expected time and after dining in various Gordon Ramsay establishments, Marco Pierre White's, Michelin Starred restaurants and highly rated locations throughout Europe and the USA, this meal was undoubtedly the best thing I've eaten. It was the braised beef. Absolutely stunning.PS. anyone complaining about portion sizes and price, get yourself to the chip shop instead.

Hobo Coffee House
30 High St, YarmThis is the best coffee in yarm hands down. Not only that but it’s served by the friendliest staff. Lucy will always strike up a conversation or go the extra mile to make your day. The other team members are excellent too, I just don’t know their names yet. The breakfast burrito is the breakfast of champions it’s SO well put together. The baked goods are always delicious but their banana cinnamon swirl bake is just…… the best!Amazing little spot and I think anyone that goes to costa needs to rethink what they’d rather have on the high street!Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options, veggie burrito is banging

Santoro Restaurant
56 High St, YarmAttended here on a strong recommendation, and it did not disappoint.Staff are very friendly, a charismatic front of house just on the right side of cheeky, but very helpful.Food is excellent, generous portions, so starve yourself beforehand to make sure you have room.In hindsight, I'm surprised we got a booking on short notice but very happy.

The Black Bull
40-42 High St, North Yorkshire, YarmPopped in for some food and a Guinness, always enjoy it here, I bring everyone as soon as a chance comes up, haven't had a bad meal yet! We got the notorious P.IG and it was divine. Outside is lovely with lots of seating and sheltered huts (and there's heat lamps!) Overall my favourite pub when I'm home ?

Fox Covert Inn
Low Ln, High Leven, YarmHaven't been for ages but as good as ever. Went on a lunchtime glad we were there early as most of the tables had been taken. Food was lovely, didn't have to wait too long either. The gentleman that served our drinks and food was very friendly and accommodating. Will defo be back.

65 High St, YarmI visited last night and was planning on having fish & chips but took advantage of their restaurant week offer, 3 courses for £20 from their special menu.Well, I was so pleased I did, food was amazing, large portions and served hot. Lovely flavours and everything cooked fresh.Staff were attentive but the right balance of not being overly, they were very friendly and chatty, plus great service. I would definitely come back here again and it deserves 5⭐

24 High St, YarmWe go in for breakfast 2-3 times a week with our westie and always get great service especially from Paddy the barman, Anna and Jason the food is really good and value for money and the coffee is the best, would definitely recommend it.
