Had to kill 45 mins whilst waiting for a rail replacement bus at lunchtime with an 8 year old. We popped in to check we were in the right area. It was raining and we were encouraged to wait inside, no pressure to spend money but made feel welcome. We have friends who moved locally so will pop in one day as will be back. Left us with a good impression of the area. Looked it’s a good community feel pub with plenty of activities to pass an afternoon

Lovely food, polite service, and the atmosphere was nice. It was quiet when I visited, but this was still nice. I booked to come in here after a day of walking in the area.Not knowing the area well and being autistic, I was nervous, so I called up to book and ask questions. My mind was immediately put to rest, Rob and the lady (Sorry can't remember your name) were so kind, patient and understanding. They immediately knew where to put me after me explaining my needs.
