I went to roots when it first opened pre covid, years ago! And going back now, it's just gotten better. Lovely atmosphere, beautiful food, presented stunningly. The atmosphere is chilled, and open to any occasion. Took my kids (17 year old twins) and it was simply perfect. Son has lamb chops, my pescetarian daughter had the shrimp, and as I eat small amounts (barbaric surgery 6 years ago) I ordered from the small bites menu and was stuffed! Booked for a Sunday afternoon, couple of weeks ago. Recommended to us, and , I have to say, it was very good! Good choice of food - we had coconut shrimp (which were huge) and patties to start, followed by jerk chicken & goat curry. Great portion sizes, all cooked perfectly. Good atmosphere and helpful staff. Will definitely return.

Nice place for Caribbean food and cocktails, best in Hull and Yorkshire. Reggae music all day long and they even have a dj on Friday and Saturday nights and live music on first Sunday.
