I’ve walked and driven past a few times. Last week we finally visited. Fantastic team, lovely crowd in there and a decent drinka selection.The food was fantastic - the pies are spellbinding: we steak and ale & chicken and leek. I met a new friend in The Albion for the first time. I felt comfortable and relaxed. We both decided we needed something to eat. We had the steak pie and chips. Wow, the pie was amazing. Full of tender lean beef. The chips were OK, but it needed some veg, peas?Then, a band turned up and played some brilliant jigs. A great overall night. Will definitely go back.

Food, for what it is, is great. If you want a pie, then this is the place. If you don't want a pie, however.... then go somewhere else. But, atmosphere, drinks and music (when they have it) are all fab. And at its best, it is a lovely,cosy snug pub.
