Lovely pub beautifully kept with really friendly staff great choice of drinks and great historic pub the menu did look great home cooked food sounded lovely would love to come back and try the food
Called in for a lunchtime pint while on holiday . Pleasantly surprised. Friendly barman . Nice atmosphere Decided to try lunch after seeing food coming out for other customers. I had the steak and kidney pudding which came with mash spuds peas and carrots . And a lot of gravy in a gravy boat . Portions were plentiful and I can generally eat a lot . My wife had the Salmon and asparagus fish cake with salad and fries. Both were really tasty . Would certainly return or another...read full review

We called here at midday for food. We were a party of 4 adults and 2 children and we were seated on a big table by a friendly lady behind the bar who took our drinks order. The food was very nice. I ordered the smoked mackerel with new potatoes and salad and it was extremely good. The menu said it was local and it certainly tasted fresh. I would recommend it.
