If you just want a good beer and none of the typical pub atmosphere with gaming machines and piped music I reccomend this place. Very small and very unusal specializing in local cask beers
On holiday in Brighton, on my last day visited midday and at night. Had three real ciders, best was Sea cider Hardcore (6.8%), at £4.80 a pint which is at the lower end of the going rate for real cider in Brighton, Wetherspoon excepted. Only one criticism, as a free market libertarian I greatly dislike being told I cannot use cash, so if I was local I wouldn't frequent it all that much. Putting the cash ale to one side, as that's what we're pretty much all here for, this is a magical little place - many punters much dwell, like me, on the idea of mirroring the magic elsewhere. Such a simple premise so wonderfully executed - warm friendly people serving like minded customers in a compact well considered environment generating a rare spirit of shared camaraderie.
